At Dalton State, we prepare competent, collaborative, reflective and caring teachers who can bring diverse learners to high academic achievement and who contribute significantly to their school environments. The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education program prepares you to become certified in teaching children grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. With the ESOL endorsement, you’ll be prepared to teach English-language learners in the grade levels you pursue for certification. The ESOL endorsement also prepares you to meet the needs of English Language Learners in regular classrooms. Acceptance to the Elementary Teacher Education program is required for enrollment in the blocked sequence of professional courses.
