Roadrunner Scholars Program
This summer scholarship program allows students to live and study on Dalton State’s campus at no cost before the start of the fall semester. The Roadrunner Scholars benefits package can be up to $5,000 throughout the six-week program.
The Roadrunner Scholars Program will occur in two three-week sessions. Each session will include a focused academic curriculum to assist incoming first-year students in being prepared for their core curriculum. In addition to developing core curriculum skills, the Roadrunner Scholars Program will allow you to identify and develop college survival skills, build close relationships with students, faculty, and staff in the Dalton State community, and learn what is expected from a Dalton State student.
Session #1: June 9 to June 28
Mathematical skill developmentThis first session will focus on mathematic skill development (MATH 1101 & 0998). The benefits of attending session #1 are estimated at $2,500 per participant, fully covered by the Roadrunner Scholars scholarship package.
- FREE tuition for MATH 1101, MATH 0998
- FREE housing Sunday through Friday in Mashburn Residence Hall
- FREE lunch and dinner four days a week
- FREE programming each evening
- FREE tutoring
- FREE participation in Rage Days (an overnight retreat for incoming first-year students)
Session #2: July 7 to July 26
English and writing skill developmentThe second session will focus on English and writing skill development (English 1101 & 0999). The benefits of attending session #2 are estimated at $2,500 per participant, fully covered by the Roadrunner Scholars scholarship package.
- FREE tuition for ENG 1101, ENG 0999
